Newport Landing Whale Watching is offering a free teacher's whale watching cruise for all Southern California area teachers. Please print out above pass and just bring in the day of your cruise. Reservations are highly recommended. Additionally teachers may bring guests of up to 10 persons for our special teacher's rate of only $15. The free teacher's pass is good for any of our general admission 2 ½ hour whale watching cruises offered daily year round. Late December through April coincides with the California Gray Whale annual migration along the Orange County coastline, which brings thousands of gray whales along our coastline as they migrate to and from Baja. May through November brings the giant blue whales and finback whales into our area with 5 or more whales sighted per cruise. With over 2000 whales viewed in 2011 our viewing success rate is very high. For November through April we offer a 10 am and 1 pm cruise on the weekdays and a 9 am, 12 pm, and 2:30 pm cruise on the weekends. From May through October we offer four cruise times daily at 9 am, noon, 3pm, and 6 pm.
