CAPTAIN SEATING UPGRADE

Take your experience to the next level with Captain’s seating on your excursion. Captain’s seating is an exclusive behind the scenes look at what it takes to find these marine mammals in their natural habitat. You will have reserved seats in the Captain’s wheelhouse that include binoculars as well as refreshments. While on your trip the Captain will show you the operational procedures of the vessel and the methods he uses to find these animals. With one on one time with the Captain, you will be able to ask specific questions about the boat and the animals that you are viewing. Your seats are reserved but you are not restricted to them. If you feel like exploring the rest of the vessel, you are welcome and encouraged to do so. Your seats will be there when you return. Only six passengers per trip are able to have this experience so book early.

Our Whale Watching Experience:

Newport Landing whale watching offers excursions seven days a week all year long. Late December through April coincides with the California Gray Whale annual migration along the Orange County coastline. May through November you will see the giant blue whales and finback whales that move into our area. Trips are available three times daily year round. Newport Landing has a variety of whale watching experiences. We have daily, year round general admission departures. General admission departures are single ticket purchases available to the public. We also offer group rate pricing for general admission or private excursions. Group rate pricing for general admission excursions are a great option for schools, churches, etc.

Company events and large groups may find our private charter whale watching option very attractive. Private rentals are fully customizable including catering and entertainment. Create a one of a kind experience for birthdays, company outings, or family gatherings.
